|
Zylog Systems is a technology driven
company comprising industry professionals and innovators.
For over eight years, Zylog has developed and successfully
implemented Banking and Financial Solutions. Zylog’s
CTS solution addresses every functional requirement;
be it branch capture, maker-checker, IQA/IUA, digital
signature, image archival or image retrieval, as well
as clearing cycles such as outward presentment, outward
return, inward and inward return..
Introduction
Cheque Truncation System (CTS) consists of a data and
image-capturing application with high speed, mid-range
and small shoe box-sized image scanner. This CTS allows
the banks to capture, process and transmit the cheque
data and images, to the clearing house via a secured
communication network.
Solution Overview
The proposed solution has the flexibility to support
different Architectures, such as:
- De-centralised - Physical cheques
are captured, processed and transmitted from the branches.
Correction and balancing can be done either at branch
or Regional Centre (RC).
- Centralised - Cheques deposited
at branches can be physically transported to RC. These
are then captured, processed and transmitted to RBI
from the RC.
- Hybrid - Hybrid model is a combination
of both.
CTS is capable of capturing the data
and images of the cheque as per RBI guidelines. At the
same pass, it also endorses the index (a Unique Identifier
- UI) or other configurable characters on the rear of
the physical items.
The CTS can be easily configured
to perform various basic yet essential validations of
the items during the point of capture. Validations such
as valid bank-branch codes, cheque number, check digits
(if any) and many other fields can be easily included.

with cryptobox and smart card interfaces.
System Audit Logs
CTS maintains comprehensive security logs of the system.
All important operations within CTS are tracked and
stored in log with date, time and user details.
Transaction Status
On the transaction level, the status of the individual
incoming and outgoing batches are tracked and displayed.
This allows users to quickly identify the batches that
require attention (e.g. balanced, unbalanced, etc).
